• These are my top picks from Topshop this week.  I need a new pair of knee-high boots.  These are perfect because I can dress them up or down and the heel is thick enough to walk in.  
• That red dress is calling my name! 
• Can't go wrong with stripes.  I love stripes.  I can wear this with a structured bag for a classic look.  
• There's something about those ankle booties that I'm diggin.  
• I haven't found my perfect peplum top until now.  Lace makes it even girlier.  
• Paisley and I go way back. =)
• That bag screams Fall.  Love it.

Animal Print, Lace and Oxfords

This post is dedicated to the Independent Fashion Bloggers (IFB) project#61.  The challenge was to create a post detailing my inspiration for Fall fashion (my favorite season).  Uncommon and IFB are working together to create a Fall inspired IPhone case.  Check out the details here.  This is my first time participating in any IFB project.  Wish me luck =)

• Animal print is my all time favorite trend for any season.  It's become a classic.  Both zebra and cheetah coats in these photos excite me.  They're fashion forward yet you can pair them with anything and look chic.
• I chose lace and oxfords because I like the feminine vs masculine vibe of the neutral oxfords in the second photo.   Oxfords are a must have for Autumn.  I will pair them with dresses, trousers, jeans and skirts this Fall.  The lace gives a feminine twist to a otherwise masculine look.  Fashion is about mixing trends, prints and texture.  It's what makes style fun.    
• Just as oxfords can be girlified, lace can be toughened up by adding the right accessories and shoes.  A black long sleeved lace dress is on my Fall list for holidays.

• If you didn't want to get out of bed, try something new today.  See a movie, take a whole lunch hour and actually enjoy it.  Do some online shopping (I'm a bad influence).  Do anything that makes you happy.  It'll cure your crap mood.

Rock Steady

No Doubt is one of my favorite bands.  So, you know I was ecstatic to hear their new single, Settle Down.  The first time I listened to it I felt iffy cause I didn't really connect to it.  Then I watched their segment on E! and listening to them express what the lyrics are about made me want to give it another try.  Pressed play and the second time was the charm.  I am in love with this song.  Good vibes and strength is what I take from it.  Can't wait to see them on tour next year =)

CatWoman: Leather Lust

This week I saw Dark Knight Rises.  It was amazing!  Storyline, action, and costumes were pretty great.  At first, I wasn't sure Anne Hathaway would pull off Catwoman.  I was presently surprised.  She brought a deeper level of character and charm to Selina Kyle.  I won't spoil with details...watch the movie.
