This sweater is great because you can wear it anywhere and look chic.  I love how grey goes well with every color.  Most of my wardrobe used to consist of grey and black mostly.  I guess it was because they go with everything.  It is now that I am incorporating more color into my closet.  Color is fun and a great way to experiment and create your own style.

The best coat for your body type: H&M edition

Yesterday was the first official day of Fall.  Breezy mornings and hot chocolate filled nights await me.  This is by far my favorite season.  Soon, the NYC weather will bless (or curse) us with its presence.  I always have trouble finding the best fitting coat for my body type.  Honestly, I never considered my body type when purchasing a coat.  There are three factors present when I look for a coat: color, versatility and price.  I have done some research to figure out which coats are suitable for different body types, keeping in mind price and style.  I found these on H&M website:

If you're busty:

• Single breasted
• Mid-thigh length or longer
• Avoid fabrics with extra bulk

If you're pear-shaped:

• Knee length
• Empire style
• Details on top

If you're petite:

• short
• hits just below your hips

If your tall:

• knee length or longer
• avoid short styles, they cut your body in half

IFBCON - Day 1

Remember the contest I entered (read this post)? Well, I was one of the lucky winners! Ecstatic and nervous described me for a week.  Part of the prize was winning a free ticket to the Independent Fashion Blogger's Conference (IFBCON).   I have learned so much from attending this lovely conference.  Inspiring bloggers, keynote speakers and the astounding IFB team, including leader of the pack, Jennine Tamm (author of The Coveted), surrounded the beautiful 82 Mercer location.  Learning to pinpoint my goals and putting hard work into my passion is one of the things I took from this day. Future posts will include some of what I've learned of my life changing experience at IFBCON.

Let's Experiment!

My hair is what I call blahh.  It's my own fault cause I don't take the necessary time to style it.  I've always been a wash and air dry kinda gal.  This Fall I want to try something different.  Here are some ideas I found. Tell me what you think.

Animal Print, Lace and Oxfords

This post is dedicated to the Independent Fashion Bloggers (IFB) project#61.  The challenge was to create a post detailing my inspiration for Fall fashion (my favorite season).  Uncommon and IFB are working together to create a Fall inspired IPhone case.  Check out the details here.  This is my first time participating in any IFB project.  Wish me luck =)

• Animal print is my all time favorite trend for any season.  It's become a classic.  Both zebra and cheetah coats in these photos excite me.  They're fashion forward yet you can pair them with anything and look chic.
• I chose lace and oxfords because I like the feminine vs masculine vibe of the neutral oxfords in the second photo.   Oxfords are a must have for Autumn.  I will pair them with dresses, trousers, jeans and skirts this Fall.  The lace gives a feminine twist to a otherwise masculine look.  Fashion is about mixing trends, prints and texture.  It's what makes style fun.    
• Just as oxfords can be girlified, lace can be toughened up by adding the right accessories and shoes.  A black long sleeved lace dress is on my Fall list for holidays.
