Let's Play!

Playsuit

Check out my Polyvore set for links to purchase.  The romper is an amazing wardrobe staple.  It's better than a dress because you don't have to worry about the wind giving people a sneak preview of your undies (or shorts).  I love the idea of slipping into one piece and going about my day.

Which is your favorite piece?

Let's Talk

I have to admit I am guilty of doing this.  Lately, I've been complaining about unnecessary things.  I justify this by thinking it's the way I process information so that I handle it better.  Uh, it's BS.  All I'm doing is torturing a willing ear about issues I can resolve on my own.  We all know in some form or another that I'm not the only one who does this.  I think people do it for one of two reasons:  either complaining is a habit for them and have no intent on actually fixing the problem or they really don't know how to resolve the issue and they're searching for answers.  According to Webster's, complaining means to express grief, pain or discontent.  There really isn't anything wrong with that except when you do it without intent to change the outcome.  Don't get me wrong, venting is necessary sometimes.  Okay, a lot of the time...I guess my lesson in all this is to remember to appreciate that life is full of solutions and it will all turn out okay.  Yes, I am an optimist. =)

Thanks for listening!!

100 things series (Part 1)

Positivity is something that comes naturally to me.  It's not something I really have to work towards.  Lately, I've been feeling a little blahh (could be a word) so I've decided to take on the 100 things challenge I found here.  I will be posting 10 things that make this girl happy each week for 10 weeks.  It's important to remember all the little things that make you happy.  Here are my first 10 in no particular order:

Topshop Tuesday

Topshop want list
All item can be found on Topshop.com

Happy Tuesday!  I just wanted to share with you all some Topshop items I'm lusting for at the moment.  I love all of these items because they can be dressed up or dressed down.
  • The peplum is trending at the moment.  You can wear this top with skinny jeans and heels for a girls night or dress it up with a pencil skirt.
  • I would pair the metallic skirt with a white tee like this one or this one and flat sandals to tone down the dressy feel of the material.

Southern Belle vs New York Sophisticate

I love the show Hart of Dixie. I'm glad the CW decided to bring it back this Fall.  It has a quirky charm you don't see often.  The fashion on the show is pretty great.  Each character's style genuinely represents their personality.  Both characters represent very different cultures.  There's Lemon, small town socialite from the South and Zoe, chic doctor from NY.
